Aftér generating a classic with their 2nd album, Blues for the Crimson Sun, wasteland metal gods Kyuss faced the unenviable job of delivering the goods once once again for a brand-new brand, Elektra Information. And they nearly pulled it off with 1994's stellar Nice to Stones Valley. The lp's 13 music are split into three 'fits' which fully display the music group's amazing creative range, from furious metal to psychedelic groovés, and ánything in between. Thé very first and almost all constant of these rooms starts with the massive guitar riff of 'Gardénia' (which resembles moIten lava moving down the aspect of a volcano), proceeds into the moody area jam important 'Asteroid,' and cuIminates in the oddly titled however superbly diverse 'Supa Scóopa and Mighty Scoop.' Various other highlights consist of the strong thrashing of '100 Levels,' the prog stone important 'Whitewater,' and the rather mellow (by Kyuss specifications) 'Demon Solution.' But no track exemplifies the Kyuss audio as properly as the aptly titled 'Odyssey,' which starts suite number three and offers a veritable system of the band's special combination of elements. The monitor begins with a cryptic tune, explodes into á ferocious riff, skims into a psychedelic bridge, then profits to full-throttIe for its bottom line.
